I've been using Octoprint for years as a controller and have had great success in integrating it with other systems that I've deployed.

I'm currently using a project from GitHub to deploy and run octoprint and multiple cameras.

I currently am using mjpeg-streamer to stream my webcams. This allows for snapshots during prints for timelapses as well as live stream viewing while away from the printer.
